Overview
What Octoposta is
A social media platform that turns one draft into posts for nine networks and publishes them on schedule.
The problem
The problem
Creators and small teams post the same idea to many platforms, each with its own format, caption length and media rules. Doing it by hand means copy-pasting between tabs every day, and consistency is the first thing to slip when you get busy.
The solution
The solution
One composer that adapts a single draft to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest and Bluesky with a live preview per network, a calendar to plan the month, AI captions that learn your style, and publishing that runs on schedule. It can also be driven from Claude or ChatGPT.

Technical challenges
What made it hard
- 01
Each platform has different media formats, limits and publishing rules that have to be validated before a post is scheduled.
- 02
Scheduled publishing must be reliable even when a platform API fails, so failures need clear retries and visible error states.
- 03
Subscription plans and AI usage need limits that are enforced on the server, not just hidden in the UI.
